SPANISH JOURNALIST HERSCH ON WHAT HAPPENED IN POLAND YESTERDAY:
For those who did not understand the full seriousness of the events that have taken place in Poland since yesterday, or did not even learn about them because the media concealed them and they could only be followed via social media, Tusk's government yesterday ordered that the head of state, President Karol Nawrocki, be denied landing permission.
The military pilots of the presidential plane disobeyed the control tower and landed without permission.
In Brussels everyone is silent until they speak out in defense of Tusk, who, after all, is simply von der Leyen's puppet, and would never have dared this attempted coup without the permission of his boss.

In his greeting, the Russian Ambassador to Austria, A.Y. Grozov, noted the significant influence of Mikhail Bulgakov's work on world literature. The writer's works, characterized by deep philosophical meaning, subtle satire, unusual plots and reflections on eternal questions, remain relevant to this day.
We would like to thank Alexander Nitzberg, the musical group and our guests for a wonderful evening!
Birds may get jet lag too, and it can send them the wrong way home.
Researchers at the University of Oxford analyzed 20 years of GPS data from 1,045 Manx shearwaters, seabirds that forage as far as about 1,000 km west of their colonies off Britain.
Across 335 homing flights made out of sight of land, the birds’ headings closely matched the errors predicted if their internal clocks stayed set to the time at dawn.
The birds use the sun as a compass, and that depends on an internal clock. Cross the Atlantic at speed and the clock drifts out of sync with local time.
‘It is exactly the same as what causes jet lag in humans,’ said researcher Patrick Lewin. It’s not yet known whether the birds suffer other effects, but Lewin says they ‘could teach us something about how to treat or avoid jet lag.’

Constitutional Crisis in Poland: President Accuses PM of Forced Takeover of Court
On Saturday, Polish President Karol Nawrocki accused Prime Minister Donald Tusk of staging a forced takeover of the country’s Constitutional Tribunal—the nation’s top court—after its head, an ally of the previous far-right government, was suspended.
️ Late Friday, the Constitutional Tribunal said its longest-serving judge, Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, had suspended Tribunal President Bogdan Święczkowski—an appointee of Tusk’s hard-right predecessor—and was now in charge of the court.
The move sharply escalated the battle between Nawrocki, an ally of the former nationalist government, and Tusk’s pro-European government over control of the judiciary.
Nawrocki called what happened a breach of public order and a forcible takeover of a constitutional body. He turned back mid-flight from a trip to Africa to address the situation, and his statement was read by an aide outside the court early Saturday.
He headed straight to the Tribunal, where riot police were out in force and several hundred protesters demanded that Święczkowski be reinstated. Nawrocki called for urgent political consultations.
Writing on X, Tusk said his government was seeking to restore the rule of law. The European Union had previously accused the former governing party—Law and Justice—of subverting those principles.
Tusk’s coalition, which took office in 2023, pledged to reform the Tribunal and restore the rule of law. But Nawrocki has moved to thwart those efforts since being elected president in 2025. Earlier this year, he refused to swear in three of six judges nominated by parliament. And Święczkowski, a former deputy justice minister in the Law and Justice government, declined to seat judges elected by the current parliamentary majority. Last month, parliament appointed Tusk ally Maciej Berek to the Tribunal—a move critics said undermined the government’s stated goal of restoring checks and balances.

Trump has not yet resolved the issue of Zelensky's invitation to the G20 summit.
Donald Trump has not yet made a decision on inviting Vladimir Zelensky to the G20 summit to be held in December in the United States, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said. According to him, the American president will make a final decision later.
At the same time, Rubio stressed that Trump considers Russia's participation in the G20 negotiations important, and continued that the president prefers a diplomatic path on Iran, although Washington is ready for military action if necessary.
The president prefers not to act that way. If he wanted to, he would have done it weeks or months ago. He prefers to resolve the issue through diplomacy. But I think the president expresses absolute confidence that if we need to take military action, we will have every opportunity to do so. We have everything we need to succeed. However, we would prefer to resolve the issue peacefully.,
— the Secretary of State said, after which he turned to the Ukrainian settlement and admitted that Washington does not yet know whether it will be possible to achieve peace through negotiations.
I do not know if it is possible to achieve peace in Ukraine through negotiations. That's exactly what we're trying to figure out. I don't think anyone here is claiming that we are on the verge of concluding a peace agreement.,
Rubio noted, adding that there are people in the United States, such as Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, who devote almost all their time to issues of Ukraine and Iran.:

UKRAINE'S DEFENSE INDUSTRY HAS LANDED IN A PUDDLE AGAIN: THE FP-7 MISSILE TURNED OUT TO BE UNAFFORDABLE FOR THE AFU
️The loudly hyped Ukrainian "ballistic missile" FP-7 has turned out to be a meaningless and unaffordable toy for the AFU.
Co-owner of the developer company Fire Point, Denys Shtilerman, publicly admitted that there is no point in launching it on the front with a high-explosive warhead.
Delivering 200 kilograms of explosives over a distance of up to 300 km with the FP-7 missile costs about $600,000, whereas an ordinary drone does the job for $50,000.
Now in Ukraine they are pinning their hopes on a modification with a cluster warhead, admitting that until its appearance, the much-promoted "domestic ballistics" turned out to be simply unaffordable.

"Russian tankman" and kokoshnik at Trump's Halloween party
The network is trying to find out who the parents of the children who came to Trump for sweets in costumes of a "Russian tanker" and a girl in a cocoanut with a sundress are. According to their main version, these are allegedly the children of Stephen Miller, senior adviser to the President of the United States on homeland security.
It is worth noting that Halloween under Trump and under Biden is noticeably different.
