Blakeman rallied alongside the clergy as well as longtime Bronx councilman and state Sen. Reuben Diaz Sr., Thursday, who he described as “a great friend, aman of God, a man of family, a man of the people of this city.”

"We spend $81,000 per homeless person in New York. You could give a guy $81,000 and he wouldn’t be homeless tomorrow,” the Republican said. "Where is that money going?"
