DoorDash is in talks to acquire grocery-delivery rival Instacart in a deal worth roughly $17 billion, a person familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. A combination would unite two of the largest U.S. on-demand delivery platforms as competition from Walmart and Amazon intensifies.
